Accelerometer There are 4 products.

An accelerometer measures the acceleration as a phenomenon of weight that it experiences. Or in other words, the g-force (force of gravity) acceleration. When an accelerometer is at rest on earth, it will measure 1g in the up/down axis (z axis), and 0g in the other two (x and y) axis. These devices have become very common including smart phones (to see how the device is located so it can display the screen correctly), camera's to sense if it's landscape or portrait, game systems like the Wii, even by large oil companies placing many thousands of very sensitive accelerometers in strategic places around the planet to identify movement.
